With the holiday season in full progress, many of us are scrambling for gift ideas that will delight.

Just in the nick of time, we are excited to unveil our 2019 New Men’s Holiday Collection, featuring a brand-new line of gorgeous, Chikan-inspired tunics that are sure to make him stand out as the gentleman with panache.
What is Chikan?
Our new, curated menswear line pays tribute to Chikan or Chikankari, which means “embroidery,” from the Lucknow region of India. This embroidery style is one of Lucknow’s most revered art forms. While there are many tales of its origin, the Chikankari design can be verifiably traced back to Noor Jahan, the wife of Mughal emperor Jehangir, who brought this Persian art to India in the 17th century. Noor herself was a gifted embroideress, and especially liked this style. The minimalistic, meticulous handwork gives it a very sophisticated feel that today’s embroidery techniques lack, especially with traditionally designed Indian kurta tunics.
An Array of Colorful Selections
Men’s long kurta tunic fashion is very on trend. My favorites from this collection include the fine-embroidered navy blue kurta tunic. Made famous and always regal by the British Royal Navy in 1748, this rich dark blue looks beautiful with other colors, whether mixed with earth tones or highlighted with an eclectic pop of pink or gold.
I also love the embroidered Shatranj placket-enhanced bottle green kurta tunic, for an extra refined look with the elegantly accented shirt front. This golden-green tone is flattering on everyone!
